and the livin is easy...

Basked in summerness today. The guys played volleyball this morning. Mom helped me organize my new kitchen from the boxes, all windows and doors open to the air. We played with the babies in the backyard. My older brother played with his guitar and my Dad soaked it all in from the hammock....

Waterpark in St. George

Hyrum talked about this waterpark in downtown St. George every day. "I have a good idea," he would say, "let's go to the waterpark" It was a great way to celebrate being reunited. Thanks about a billion times to Cole's parents and Timmeri for loving the babies while Cole and I made our way back from WV!

Salt Lake with the Blairs

We spent last weekend in SLC with Justin and Melissa Blair and their so sweet babies before making the final leg of our incredible journey back to ABQ. We took a hike through the city, played at the Church History museum, and had a barbeque in Justin's newly built fire pit in the back yard. So worth the extra hours on our drive. The babies had so much fun and Justin and Melissa are so good at making us feel welcome. Thanks so much Blairs We love you.

At Last

We have no apartment, no house, no spot of earth to call our own, but here we are the four of us after almost three months... home at last.

Nauvoo

We enjoyed the temple. Amazing workmanship inside and out At Carthage Jail. Being here makes the history so much more clear
Cole and I made a stop in Nauvoo, Illinois. I had always heard the stories of the Saints sacrifices and hardships but here they became real to me as I saw that they also found joy, friendship, and peace along the way. I loved learning how they made bread, candles, rugs, tin kettles, and pottery. They were so resourceful. More pictures to come.

The moment we've all been waiting for...

Burning remains of his research project in celebration
Cole with our good friend Ben

Cole with good friend Matt Silva
Cole with his professors
Last Saturday I flew in to suprise Cole and be with him to celebrate the end of our three year journey in West Virginia. It's been an amazing time of growth for both of us. We took a leap of faith coming here and it was rewarded with more blessings than we can explain. Great feeling to have something accomplished. Bittersweet as we say goodbye to a place that has been so good to us...
