Believing

It is easy to believe in the atonement of Jesus Christ, to accept that it can heal all hurts and erase all wrongs, until you need it. Until you really need to act on that belief. Then it is easy to feel that this hurt is just too deep, and this wrong is just too powerful a thing to really be taken away. But the truth is, that is when you know if you really do believe in our Savior's love. When you need it. And if you take that leap and push on and say,"I will not give in to this despair." Then you will finally know the power of that ultimate of sacrifices that was made for you and for me,and for every person that has ever felt the weight of human weakness that threatens to crush your world. I know that I believe in it. Sometimes I just have to remind myself that I do, or pray for Father in Heaven to remind me. And then, if only for a moment at a time, that weight is lifted and in amazement I see that I am not crushed, only bruised a little. Believing is not never being afraid or uncertain, it is taking the hand of hope when it is offered.
